To enhance user experience and trust, we added a reviews section to the existing app, allowing customers to read about restaurants without leaving the platform. Additionally, a safety icon was introduced next to restaurant names to indicate compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Introduction
Uber Eats, launched by Uber in August 2014 as UberFresh, began as an experimental delivery service in Los Angeles for convenience-store items. Over time, it evolved into a leading food delivery platform, adapting to market demands and expanding globally.
Its rapid growth, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, underscores its role as a dominant player in the on-demand food delivery industry.
Problem Breakdown
The main problem the team needed to resolve was the lack of easily accessible restaurant reviews within the app, which influenced users' decision-making. While most participants valued reviews to assess food quality and price, many had to rely on external platforms like Yelp or Google to find them. Additionally, concerns over COVID-19 safety measures from restaurants, delivery drivers, and apps contributed to user frustration. Addressing these issues would enhance user trust, streamline the decision-making process, and improve overall satisfaction with the food delivery experience.
Brainstorming
As part of the brainstorming process, we used the user-centered problem statement to map out a user flow, visualizing the different paths a user might take when placing an order through the Uber Eats app. The focus was on a scenario where a user browses the app during a lunch break and decides to try a newly recommended restaurant. This helped outline the steps involved in discovering and selecting a restaurant. Building on this, then created an information architecture to explore how the new features could be seamlessly integrated into the existing app structure.

Retrospective
Working on an existing app like Uber Eats required careful consideration to ensure that new features aligned with the app's existing design and functionality. Maintaining consistency while integrating improvements was a key challenge, as any additions needed to feel seamless within the established user experience. One major takeaway from this project was the importance of usability testing. Even small adjustments based on participant feedback significantly enhanced the design.
